An excellent 8 year old Jamaican rum from the Appleton Estate, boasting waves of runny honey, toffee, oak spice and hints of caramelised nuts. Terrific value for money, and more than suitable for using in a Rum Old Fashioned, we will say...
Toasted sugar, almonds, melted butter, honey, caramel, chocolate peanuts and a hint of red apple.

So much better than regular Appleton that it's hard to believe the two bottles are even related. Rich, dry, fruity, tastes like a dark rum but without the heaviness. Exceptional value for money.
Best one I’ve tasted. Was Woods 100 before that, and also like fleur de Cana. But that Appleton 8 yo reserve is what a rum should be.
Out of curiosity and a neighbour having lived next to the Estate I tried it, despite never drinking Rum before... Wow! Thirty bottles of Malt and ten of Gin all are taking a back seat atm to my new favourite drink. On its own or with Fever Tree Ginger, it's the most delicious thing I've drunk in ages.
Best Rum ever. Tastes better on the beach in Jamaica. Been 15 times and always drank Appletons
On my second bottle, it is exceptionally moreish, great buzz and nice bottle and stopper too.
