A spectacularly aged rum from Appleton Estate. This expression is made from carefully selected casks that have enjoyed a tropical maturation for a minimum of 21 years. Beautifully balanced, and with plenty of character and complex spice, this silky Jamaican rum is one to sip and savour.
Nutty and rich. Vanilla, marmalade, chocolate and pepper.
Thick, full, nutty, cocoa, stewed fruits, Demerara sugar, oak.
Long and thick.

“Quite possibly the best of the older aged rums, the Appleton 21 is like the 12 Year Old but more complex in texture and flavor and maybe a bit gentler due to its age. Really quite wonderful! I bought 3 bottles and nearly down to my last one. It is thick it is sweet with all the rum flavors you enjoy times three. It's eminently drinkable and you can't just have one dram you'll want a few. Get a bottle you will never regret it and you'll want more!”

Bottle purchased from the estate while on holiday so I hope MoM will publish. I was a little disappointed to be honest. For the price I was expecting and hoping for a far smoother taste and finish. I prefer plantation XO….or Doorleys Xo / 12 or 14 yo. All 80-100 pounds less per bottle.
One of the worst rums for the price I’ve ever had the misfortune of coming across. This rum is 21 Y/O yet they are far better rums for slightly more than half the price of this rum and they are younger rums with more flavour and character than this rum. It does nothing especially well and is just a average sipping rum that if dropped £100.00 off it’s price tag would be good so as such it earns its self 1.5 stars because it’s not a special rum that commands a special price tag.
Love how smooth and actually thought we were drinking a Scotch the first time I had this. Had to buy me a bottle. Well done Appleton.
Was surprised at its smoothness. Thought we were having a Scotch. Well done.
This is one classy Jamaican..... I’m not a massive fan of the Jamaican ‘Funk’ but this is a smooth operator... definitely a sipper
