Reviews for Appleton Estate 21 Year Old
A little disappointed
Bottle purchased from the estate while on holiday so I hope MoM will publish. I was a little disappointed to be honest. For the price I was expecting and hoping for a far smoother taste and finish. I prefer plantation XO….or Doorleys Xo / 12 or 14 yo. All 80-100 pounds less per bottle.

Does nothing especially well. Not worth the price tag.
One of the worst rums for the price I’ve ever had the misfortune of coming across. This rum is 21 Y/O yet they are far better rums for slightly more than half the price of this rum and they are younger rums with more flavour and character than this rum. It does nothing especially well and is just a average sipping rum that if dropped £100.00 off it’s price tag would be good so as such it earns its self 1.5 stars because it’s not a special rum that commands a special price tag.

Great Rum.
Love how smooth and actually thought we were drinking a Scotch the first time I had this. Had to buy me a bottle. Well done Appleton.

Smooth Jamaican
This is one classy Jamaican..... I’m not a massive fan of the Jamaican ‘Funk’ but this is a smooth operator... definitely a sipper

Excellent
Absolute treat to drink and smell. no need to be mixed and 43% is a nice touch. Tastes of leathery raisins (in a good way), whilst it is an exceptional rum and a real treat to have experienced I would personally get the Appleton 12yo at £35 o bottle.

GREED!!! Etc.,etc.
Why only 43% Alc/Vol? Has the potential to be the best rum in the world at 21 years old which in this day and age with a massive surge in popularity and willingness to spend
mega, then lets independent bottlers cut it's lunch!

My GO TO RUM
My go to rum when I have had a bad day at work. Pour 2 fingers in a tulip glass, add 1 ice cube and 3 whiskey stones, let it sit for about 5 minutes, then kick back and let my stress melt away. So impressed with this rum I matched the color of the box it comes in and painted my bar shelves the blue color (in an egg wash effect) and painted the walls the gold color of the label.
