Portugal
1 Jan 1978
An old Colheita Port wine here, which refers to an aged tawny port made using grapes from a single vintage. In this case, the vintage is 1978 and Barros used an even split of four varieties, Tinta Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Nacional. A real beauty, this one.
Heaps of rich dried fruit as well as cinnamon and orange peel, with butterscotch, figs, and oak spice in support.
