Irish Poteen or Poitín is a traditional Irish spirit that was granted Geographical Indicative Status in 2008. Sometimes referred to as 'Irish moonshine', it had previously been illegal since the 17th century! This triple distilled offering weighs in at a hearty 70% abv.
Sweet vanilla and apple with fruit salad and hints of Brazil nut.
Almost grainy with a slightly herbaceous character and a little citrus.
Warm and drying.
