Ireland

Taking inspiration from the classic Irish spirit, Glendalough have created a high-strength variation of their own Poitín (though at a slightly lower ABV than a previous Mountain Strength expression).
It packs quite a punch, with cinnamon, coffee bitterness, ripe orchard fruit and pine.

For serious whiskey fans I feel like this is defnitely worth trying once just to know what whiskey was like before they started barrel aging it. Not terribly harsh but it definitely has a certain spoiled grain taste I'm not very fond of. Not gonna give this a star rating since I reserve those for whisk(e)y's but this was a fun purchase. Love the potato taste that comes through on the pallet, the smell alone is unreal.Add this too a cocktail of any light white spirit such as vodka, white rum or peach schnapps and lemonade and you’ll live the embracing cocktail of taste...??
