Description
A marvellous Mezcal from the Enmascarado range ('Enmascarado' means 'masked hero', hence the charming chap on the label). This has been bottled at a full-bodied 54% ABV, so it'll stand out in mezcal-based cocktails, which are getting very popular indeed these days.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Beach bonfire smoke rises out of the glass at first before sherbet lemon and candy-floss form a sweet base layer.
Palate
Sweet and syrupy with the smokiness taking a back seat for lemon and lime to shine.
Finish
The finish is reminiscent of a tropical beach bonfire, lapping waves with smouldering palm trees.
Overall
Deliciously sweet and smoky with all pervasive lemon notes that open this mezcal up.
