Derrumbes Michoacán Mezcal
Highlighting the terroir and craftsmanship of the village of Tzitzio in the state of Michoacán, this Mezcal from Derrumbes is made from regional cupreata and alto agaves. The agave is cooked in traditional stone pits, with fermentation taking place in underground pits lined with pinewood. Distillation takes place using Filipino stills before the mezcal is rested for some time in glass. A complex spirit with the cupreata lending ripe fruit notes and the alto contributing plenty of green, vegetal freshness. This is a fabulous sipper for the mezcal connoisseurs out there.

A very complex nose, with wafts of smoke, pine, rubber, and tropical fruits. Plenty of herbal, peppery agave on the palate, with more smoke and tropical fruit funk, and a mineral backbone throughout.
