Country Mexican Mezcal
Distillery/Brand Del Maguey
Style Blanco Mezcal

Maguey Minero

A delicious single village Mezcal made in Santa Catarina Minas in Oaxaca. This is an unblended spirit, Minero is distilled in a still made of clay and bamboo!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose A very light, wonderfully perfumed style, with notes of crushed white flowers, violets, and ripe peaches, with just a hint of delicate smokiness in the background.

Palate Very soft and elegant, with wonderfully pure stone fruit flavours upheld by soft vanilla and agave richness.

Finish Long and fresh, with candied citrus and very subtle smoke.

Reviews for Del Maguey Minero Mezcal
Very good
Has notes of agave, citrus, vanilla, and smoke. Goes down smooth. Tequilas are to Speysides while Mezcals are to Islays

Perfect for Whiskey fans
I tried almost all of the mezcals on offer as tasters, this one is by far the best. Very smokey, everything I love about whiskey but in a mezcal. Worth paying a little extra, as this one surpasses even the more expensive Del Maguey bottlings.

The Mymic
If you've ever tried laphroaig new make spirit, its like that with a healthy dose of cactus thrown in. Smoke, earth, ash, mineral, cucumber, leather, old cellar. The only spirit that comes close, and at times surpasses Islay scotch.
