Corte Vetusto Ensamble II
This is the second limited edition Joven (unaged) bottling from Corte Vetusto and fourth generation 'master mezcalero' Juan Carlos Gonzalez Diaz in a range that was created to educate and challenge perceptions on mezcal and agave in the UK. To do this, the brand employs an artisanal method of production. The process begins by cooking Maguey agave in conical earth oven cooks, which is then milled by volcanic stone. Once the agave is fermented naturally, it is first distilled in a 250L copper still, then distilled again in an ancestral 70L clay pot still.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Fresh citrus, earthy smoke and green olives lead, with roasted agave and toffee underneath.
Palate
Black peppercorn prickles through vanilla, garden herbs and caramel.
Finish
Strong minerality and earthy vegetal notes linger.
