The Wrecking Coast is harking back to the 17th century with this rum liqueur, taking a modern twist on the traditional Rum Shrub, an old Cornish tradition of mixing fruit with rum to produce a sweet, fruity rum based-liqueur called Shrub. This one is made with Kea plums, which are only found in a single valley in Cornwall. The Wrecking Coast folks forage these unique plums, and rest them in white rum for around two months, with the addition of orange and ginger too.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Sharp plum notes, with warming ginger, sweeter orange peel, and a tart, jammy finish.
