St George Bruto Americano Bottling Note

A riff on a traditional Italian Americano liqueur from the St George Spirits folks in sunny California, USA, featuring aromatic, evocative notes inspired by Distiller Lance Winters' experiences growing up in California back in the '70s (the label design also harks back to those days too). They've made it using a selection of botanicals, including gentian root, Seville orange, balsam fir and the bark from the coffee berry bush. They have also used cochineal to give it the authentic ruby red hue, which is a traditional and natural approach that some producers have moved away from over the years. Enjoy in a Negroni (perhaps with Terroir Gin to accentuate the woodsy notes...) or simply splash a measure in some soda water.
