Skinos Mastiha Spirit

Skinos Mastiha is a Greek liqueur made using the resin from the mastiha tree on the Greek island of Chios. The resin is harvested by making small cuts in the tree, bringing out drops of the resin that are said to look like tears. The resulting liqueur created from the resin is highly fragrant, with earthy, leafy notes washing over your palate, joined by hints of sweetness bringing balance. It's often served chilled and alongside food, whether it be meze dishes or accompanying a cold dessert.

THE PERFECT APERITIF
We had this on holiday and addicted ever since. Shot after dinner or : Prosecco glass, shot of this, shot of pink gin and 4 shots of soda (or more if you want a softer version) . Add fresh mint and thank me later :)

I like it
I love the stuff, but not sure what to make of it.?
It is allegedly a digestive, but not in the same class as ouzo or pernod.
Maybe it is more subtle unlike zevanier, which is just raw.

Different and fantastic
It is a great liquor, while in Greece I had dinner at a restaurant and they gave a complementary shot or dessert so, naturally I got both. It is said to help with digestion and it tastes like you are having two different flavors at the same time which not only makes it unique but, also enjoyable.
