This festive gin liqueur is named after Reverend Hubert Bell Lester, who created his winter liqueur recipe in 1904 for the Christmas gathering of his congregation. Years later, his great-grandson recreated the original formula with a few updates and help from Joe Wadsack, who is generally thought to have the best palate in the wine business. There are Amalfi lemons and oranges, along with a few seasonal spices - this one's a winner simply over ice and will do well in a Negroni, too.
Warming and spicy, with loads of oily citrus zest, a good handful of dried fruit and peppery juniper underneath it all.

“This liqueur is DIVINE. ❤️ I bought it because it looks cool and super original. Who doesn’t like a label like that. I had a few sips and first impressions are that it’s a perfect Christmas/winter drink (and pressie). Yes citrus zest..? touch of sweet caramel...then the clove, cinnamon(usually don’t like cinnamon). Long finish which had me licking my lips and wanting more. Am actually really impressed Rev Hubert is unique and delicious. ”

was having dinner at a rather upmarket pub in Fulham and this gin licquer was the centre piece of a truly delicious negroni. i ended up drinking 4 and my girlfriend 3. We will be serving this up at our annual xmas bash in a couple of weeks time - really unique and delicious
Truly scrumptious! I'm going to place a mass order for all Christmas presents this year.
Decided to try this when looking through the website. Firstly what an incredible label on a weighty bottle. Very stylish and definitely one for displaying prominently. Delivered last evening and I wasted no time trying with a mince pie ...they went perfectly together. Basically It’s a mince pie / Christmas pud in a glass. My family loved the bottle and the story. Only issue - not a chance of it lasting through to December! Will certainly buy again and being a quality product, it is worth £35 and would be a great present.
A real taste of Christmas. You can clearly tell this has been made lovingly with the finest ingredients. Very smooth, very warming and it does work beautifully in a Negroni. Delicious. Will be stocking up for Christmas.
Tastes and smells like Christmas!
