Aperitif Time
Rightly or wrongly I like drinking this as an aperitif, it suits my palate beautifully! As a seasoned malt whisky drinker, this does not compare but it's a pleasant drink nontheless.

Alternative to dessert wine.
This is a very nice accompaniment to a sweet dessert, or as an after-dinner digestif. Regard it as such and you will not be disappointed. However, if what you really want is ‘Whiskey’ then leave this on the shelf , that not what this is.

warm, oaky herbal notes - parsiminen and fig
My drink of choice is the Manhattan however I wanted something I could drink room temp, neat and without the bitters. JD honey is smooth - warm, oaky herbal notes - parsiminen and fig - pair with goat cheese, pecans and rosemary.

Perfectly acceptable, just remember its sweet & its not an aged malt
If you have a sweet tooth hidden in your mouth, this is a perfectly acceptable for sipping. It is also, in my humble opinion, perfectly acceptable as a contrasting taste within a collection. No it doesn't have the complexity of a well aged Speyside malt but just as some struggle with the peaty taste of a Islay malt and would not thank you for a dram, if you don't like the sweetness than just avoid buying a large bottle. At the very least the relatively low price of a small bottle allows you to add it to a collection for a trial taste.
