Irish Mist Reviews

Bring back the REAL Irish Mist!

The "new" Irish Mist is awful! Why on earth would you want to change to something which is clearly disliked by so many people! Bring back the original!!!

I-WISH I had some “old” I-RISH Mist.

This Irish Mist, which I’ve tried, is not at all like the one we had at my sainted Irish Mother’s house for years. What happened to that yummy, thick, sweet, heavenly “Liquor” in the shorter liquor-type bottle? 😢

Hiram Walker Irish Mist is the BEST!

The Hiram Walker Irish Mist is much better tasting that the brand and the variety that has the words Honey on the label. The Hiram Walker Irish Mist is smoother, can be drunk straight on ice and is not harsh on the pallet. The Honey variety isn't as smooth and it has different ingredients. Does anyone know if the brand by Hiram Walker is not being made? Or is there an embargo which makes it prohibitively expensive to ship? Or is there a trade war with Ireland going on? Seems like no one is selling the Hiram Walker Irish Mist brand. Bring back the original in the decanter bottle. 375 ml.

Irish mist

I recently purchased a bottle of Irish Mist. It doesn’t seem to taste the way I remember. I will not purchase again.

Not good! Dislike

I do not like the new version. Is the old still available? I will never buy the new version again. Sales clerk said the product is the same, clearly it is not.

Original Irish Mist Liquor gains 5 stars. The new horrible reformulated mist 0 stars.

A most welcome surprise which I was first introduced to at Jury's hotel in Doblin in the 1980's. Able to buy in the UK but has of late been difficult to obtain.
I note with horror of a reformulation!
I will NOT waste money on this one.

Perfect potion

This drink is like gold dust it's just the perfect potion so difficult to get hold of. I first drank it in a pub in Norwich 🇬🇧 and it was recommended by an Irish man. He said I'd be hooked on it!

Mr. Jim Mangiantini

Irish Mist has changed! It used to be a liqueur that warmed as it went down and stayed warm. I just bought a bottle of the new honey Irish Mist w/less alcohol content and more sweet content. I asked before I bought and the clerk said it was the same. He lied! Is there any of the old recipe Irish Mist left in the States? If so where can I get it? I will reserve rating dependent upon my ability get some of the good stuff.

Beautiful, floral, clean light whiskey with a hint of honey taste -fabulous on the rocks with a simple few Budweiser (it complements the unique rice component of Bud) - my wife and I love to have a few drinks before a Friday afternoon matinee - the bar is just across the street from the movie theatre -Lovely!

the real thing

The new Irish Mist is based upon the original Irish Mist. This is an inexcusable mistake to "reformulate"
what was the best Liqueur in the world. I was lucky to find four of the original decanter bottles. I am not sharing.

I will never drink this putrid stuff again, (used the word stuff because it is not liqueur or any potable substance).

original irish mist

why has this become so scarce and being replaced by honey flavour which is as bad as the original was good

5th September 2015

my friends and I drank the original "mist" from decanter style bottles and it should have been left alone . you shouldn't mess !1

As a college student one would assume I guzzle back vodka like water. However I decided early on to learn about scotches and whisky's. That I did. Since then I have had nearly 300 types and aside from the Glens, this is my #1 go to drink. Price wise it is not the cheapest, but it also wont break the bank. The quality... You'll Just have to try it, its good. You can taste the swetness of the honey but it isn't like drinking sap. In my opinion, it easily deserves 5/5 as either a gift or for yourself. Spend the few extra coins and try this. It is worth it.

Personally I prefer the old bottle the latest irish mist seems to have a more pronounced taste of honey ?

Don't really like whiskey or liqueurs (more an ales, porters and stouts kind of guy) but I love this stuff.

We should never have let this out of the country, far too good to advertise and sell anywhere but the Emerald Isle

Just delicious!

got to know Irish Mist in Dresden, Germany when visiting an Irish Pub. Back in Holland searched where to buy this wonderful liqueur and found that it is available at a retailer. Love every drop of it, and de rich and wealthy flavour is really good.

Smooth and not cloyingly sweet, with overtones of honey and spices.

Play Misty for me

Hey Shocking why would you buy a Liqueur if you are a whiskey drinker, they are like chalk and cheese. Me and my Buddies love to drink Misty when we play golf, every time one of the guys gets a birdie we have of Misty its all good we enjoy.
