Freihof Mirtillo Liqueur Bottling Note

A deep purple blueberry liqueur, dubbed Mirtillo. Mirtillo translates to 'bilberry' in English, and a bilberry is in fact a European blueberry! The liqueur is the work of the German family-run Freihof distillery, and combines blueberry, lime, ginger and juniper, all of which is blended with spring water from the Alps. You'll be pleased to know that the colour is totally natural.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Jammy, delicate blueberry supported by warming ginger spice, berry compote and citrus zest, with piney juniper lingering alongside fruity sweetness.

Freihof Mirtillo Liqueur Reviews

a must have for the drinks cabinet

goes well with tonic as an alternative to some of the pink gins out there, in fact I'd rate it over many pink gins as it's more complex and will make an ideal winter warmer as the nights drawn in. Other option is to mix with prosecco or put into a Gin Collins cocktail. Also great to add a dash to a blackberry and apple pie or crumble.
