A Spanish liqueur made with citrus and vanilla. It is actually made with 43 different ingredients, which is where the name comes from, including Cuarenta Y Tres - which is 43 in Spanish. The history of the drink dates back to Roman times. It is said that after the Roman Empire conquered Quart Hadas in the South East of Spain, they found a delicious drink made from citrus and various herbs.
Nose: Creamy, fruity aromas. Vanilla to the fore.
Palate: Hints of orange, soft spices, dried herbs and custard apples.
Finish: Long, fruity finish.

Love this liqueur. First served it in Paris, believe it or not with pineapple juice. Great over vanilla ice cream with bananas flambe. Thanks for las memorias.

I first tasted 43 in Santa Barbara CA over 50 years ago. It is in another universe compared to the competition in liqueurs. I live in Canada and can only restock 2 bottles at a time on infrequent visits with my wife to LA. This elixir of the gods should be at the top of everyone's chart.

Hi, there was a recipe booklet on the bottle, called 43 mini beer. My husband thought it meant add 43 to beer. So he did, a very different drink we enjoyed. I then returned to the recipe and made it correctly AGAIN WAS GREAT

They were giving free samples of this, so I thought of giving it a try. Now understand I am a single malt Scotch drinker, and I like my wines red and dry. As soon as this hit my taste buds, I thought I was going to heaven. It has a taste that only you can describe for your self. It told me to buy a bottle. As I was paying for it I went back to the shelf and grabbed another one. I know you will too. Enjoy

First tasted in Mexico and always brought back 2 bottles each time we visited then rationed for special occasions. We asked the liquor store about it and they order it in for us now but it has to be 6 bottles at a time. Try asking them to do it for you.

I was introduced to 43 a few days ago in Grand Rapids, Michigan. But I am now on the search in the USA to source this. My Grand Rapids "friend" won't tell me his source...he wants me to continue to visit him to sample the 43 delights. Although I have booked another ticket to see him next month, I would like to obtain in the USA so that I can have my own supply. I continue the hunt...love 43!

I could buy this in Asda but they've taken it off the shelves. So I.m looking for an alternative supplier. I love this drink it's better than drambuie. It has a flavour all of it's own and a bottle can go down a treat! LOL

Watching the pre-show "Preakness" and wanted a 'Mint Julep'; found an unopened bottle of "43" in my Liquor Stash. I am now sipping it on the rocks with sprigs of fresh homegrown Mint. Yum, I think a slice of lemon, and maybe a splash of Ginger Ale could also go well... enjoying a day off.

Put it in the freezer for a couple of hours. It will not freeze but will get more consistent and substantial. Pour it in a glass and sip on it. That is the definitive way. Such a perfect liquor.
