This Dutch Genever is made with grain alcohol, pure malt wine and distilled malt wines and packs plenty of big juniper flavour.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Earthy juniper and slightly floral.

Palate: Sweet at first leading to big juicy juniper notes.

Finish: A hint of parma violet and powdery juniper.

Overall: A classic Genever with lots of juniper goodness.

Wees Jonge Genever Reviews

This Drinks Blog Review https://thisdrinksblog.wordpress.com/2015/11/11/wees-jonge-genever-35/

This genever is distilled from 4 different malt wines which in turn have been produced from 5 different grains infused with herbs. I poured the genever in to an open necked glass and left covered for ten minutes. The spirit pours clear and has a slight syrupy look as it’s rolled around the glass.

On nosing the spirit has an instantly juniper note emanating from the glass, followed by notes of rose and a slightly salty tinge. There are softer red berries and more fruity notes in the background. The nose is rich with hints of fresh juniper and cut flowers.

The flavour is rich in juniper and not too complex but delicate almost like a young speyside whisky in flavour. There are hints of malt, cut flowers, spice and a slight oak note through the middle of the taste but the dominating factor in the taste is the freshness. It is hugely refreshing!!!

The finish is long and dry with a lingering juniper flavour with elements of maltiness.

This genever is very fresh and uncomplicated and one I would certainly recommend to anyone who wants to sample genever for the first time!
