While the original Whitley Neill Gin is inspired by the exotic flavours of Africa, their Rhubarb & Ginger Gin variation takes inspiration from closer to the Whitley family's homestead.
Enjoyably fruity on the nose, with rhubarb preserve and baked apple. Hints of leafy herbs grow in the background.
Orange, ginger and coriander arrive on the palate, though it's still dominated by rhubarb. A core of earthy juniper builds.
A tangy touch of tartness appears later on, balanced by black pepper and gingerbread.

An amazing find in Stirling Scotland April 2018. Now if only I can get it into Canada. No one is carrying it. Please help.
One of my favourite ripples, I enjoy it over ice with a slice of lemon, a squeeze of lime and diet ginger beer, just what the doctor ordered one a sunny day
Terrible gin. The sickly smell is over-powering... makes RedBull smell nice! Sickly sweet and artificial. Smells like air freshener.
This doesn't taste in the slightest of rhubarb (or, indeed, ginger). The overpowering flavour, as five of us sampling the bottle today agreed, is vanilla. I wouldn't bother.
Sweet taste, good with a quality tonic, even better when only 20.00 pounds at ASDA
