While the original Whitley Neill Gin is inspired by the exotic flavours of Africa, their Rhubarb & Ginger Gin variation takes inspiration from closer to the Whitley family's homestead.
Enjoyably fruity on the nose, with rhubarb preserve and baked apple. Hints of leafy herbs grow in the background.
Orange, ginger and coriander arrive on the palate, though it's still dominated by rhubarb. A core of earthy juniper builds.
A tangy touch of tartness appears later on, balanced by black pepper and gingerbread.
Mix with some normal tonic and it's a sherberty delight, assuming that's something you will appreciate of course!

Too sweet and a weird artificial flavour, not nice at all. Can't taste either rhubarb or ginger. The bottle is a pretty purple colour, that's the only redeeming feature.
Chemical flavouring, chemical sweetener, absolutely shocking to call it a 'hand crafted' gin. Tipping chemicals into a vat of gin is 'hand crafting'? I took a very tiny sip from the small aeroplane size bottle and put it down the drain
