While the original Whitley Neill Gin is inspired by the exotic flavours of Africa, their Rhubarb & Ginger Gin variation takes inspiration from closer to the Whitley family's homestead.
Enjoyably fruity on the nose, with rhubarb preserve and baked apple. Hints of leafy herbs grow in the background.
Orange, ginger and coriander arrive on the palate, though it's still dominated by rhubarb. A core of earthy juniper builds.
A tangy touch of tartness appears later on, balanced by black pepper and gingerbread.

Tastes of neither Rhubarb or Ginger - an over riding spirit on the nose and something a bit like children's love heart sweets on the finish. Very disappointing.
Just opened a bottle received as a present. Unspeakably awful. Cannot imagine any mixer that would make it palatable.
This is quite the worst gin I have ever tasted - if I wanted fizzy cola, instead of gin, I'd have it! What a travesty - don't they have better things they could do with gin?
Not pleasant. A raw taste of gin is overlaid with a boiled sweet taste and smell. I could not detect either rhubarb or ginger.
If i had only one gin to drink for the rest of my days it would be this. Experienced it first through craft gin club and have just ordered 3rd and 4th bottles of it. Dont quite get the negative reviews but each to their own. Im sticking with this!
