While the original Whitley Neill Gin is inspired by the exotic flavours of Africa, their Rhubarb & Ginger Gin variation takes inspiration from closer to the Whitley family's homestead.
Enjoyably fruity on the nose, with rhubarb preserve and baked apple. Hints of leafy herbs grow in the background.
Orange, ginger and coriander arrive on the palate, though it's still dominated by rhubarb. A core of earthy juniper builds.
A tangy touch of tartness appears later on, balanced by black pepper and gingerbread.

Quite possibly the worst Gin I have ever tasted alongside Hoxton, if you want Rhubarb gin, Slingsby is the only way. Yorkshire after all is famous for its Rhubarb.
Absolutely gorgeous. Serve with a slice of Apple.. divine taste. My favourite gin at the moment & Ive tried a.lot!
Disappointing - both synthetic flavour and bitter aftertaste only expunged but adding lots of sweetness. Infinitely prefer the Edinburgh Gin version.
This is delicious if you drink it neat as you would a liqueur or with ginger ale. The ginger kick melds beautifully with the rhubarb sweetness and makes it dangerously more-ish.
Got as a small sample as part of my Craft Gin Club box and it is lovely. Will definitely be buying the full bottle. Lovely stuff.
