While the original Whitley Neill Gin is inspired by the exotic flavours of Africa, their Rhubarb & Ginger Gin variation takes inspiration from closer to the Whitley family's homestead.
Enjoyably fruity on the nose, with rhubarb preserve and baked apple. Hints of leafy herbs grow in the background.
Orange, ginger and coriander arrive on the palate, though it's still dominated by rhubarb. A core of earthy juniper builds.
A tangy touch of tartness appears later on, balanced by black pepper and gingerbread.

I took a risk buying this for Christmas having never tasted it before. No regrets at all! Everyone loved it!! Very different with no aroma of gin, just smooth tasting, maybe hint of vanilla? I sliced fresh ginger & froze them & added 2 slices with ice. Will definitely be buying again!
Very poor. Sickly. Completely undrinkable.
