While the original Whitley Neill Gin is inspired by the exotic flavours of Africa, their Rhubarb & Ginger Gin variation takes inspiration from closer to the Whitley family's homestead.
Enjoyably fruity on the nose, with rhubarb preserve and baked apple. Hints of leafy herbs grow in the background.
Orange, ginger and coriander arrive on the palate, though it's still dominated by rhubarb. A core of earthy juniper builds.
A tangy touch of tartness appears later on, balanced by black pepper and gingerbread.

My favourite gin at the moment. Absolutely love it ! Served with a slice of orange & Fevertree Mediterranean tonic. Will definitely try with coriander though ❤️
This is vile. We've assembled a collection of 50+ gins over the years, and along with Hoxton this is my least favourite yet. It tastes like cheap corner shop sweets. And not just slightly. It's so pungent that only a shower and a toothbrush will excommunicate its aroma. I opened it last night. Tonight I put the empty glass in the dishwasher, and it still reeked of its overpowering and sickly sweet odour.
