Another brilliant fruity gin from Whitley Neill, Blackberry Gin is inspired by floral English hedgerows and it certainly shows. The gin takes the berry, which grows in late summer, and combines it with traditional botanicals. This is just destined for a juicy G&T throughout the summer months, and may even make some more warming winter tipples, what with its jammy flavour profile.
A hit of piney juniper, with sweet lemon peel, peppery spice and juicy, jammy berries, with a slightly earthy finish.
The gin itself is stunning however I demand REAL ingredients it’s a given when it calls itself a CRAFT GIN when I dig a little further read the bottle label / read articles / look up ingredients ITS CLEAR it has artificial flavourings oh dear oh very dear
This gin has never seen any blackberries! Taste is artificial, waste of good gin. Would never buy again. Doesn’t smell like blackberries either. I go blackberry picking every year, and the blackberries I pick are real. How can you have a white blackberry gin, that alone tells you it is made of artificial flavourings. Yuk!
Bought 1st bottle recently and it's a delightfully fragrant gin with full notes of autumn blackberries in it while retaing a strong pungent gin flavour and kick in it ....top Mark's
My new fav, just ordering my 3rd bottle in 3 months mmm
This is gorgeous. Actually does have that blackberry bramble taste. Not like a sloe gin that I thought it might be. Unlike some of the other Whitley Neill fruit gins this one is not sweet The blackberry hits you straight away. Very morish. Only tried a small amount as didn't have a tonic, lemonade makes it sweet and quiete honestly ruins it. If you love it neat it's one to beat Will defintely be buying more of this one. Gorgeous.
