Whitley Neill Gooseberry

You don't see enough gooseberry-flavoured things these days, we reckon. Whitley Neill is looking to fix that with its Gooseberry Gin! Putting the tasty fruit to the fore of this expression, supported by citrus peels, pears, plums, and a host of classic gin botanicals, Whitley Neill has created a tangy treat for all your refreshing cocktail needs.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Vanilla, liquorice, zesty orchard fruits with some white grape brightness, softly spicy notes of cassia and juniper build on the finish.

Reviews for Whitley Neill Gooseberry Gin
Refreshing, I had as a long drink.
Tried with Elderflower Tonic, light, refreshing, pleasant citrus afternotes.

A lovely summer time Gi
I bought a bottle of this as a little treat. It’s a delicious summertime gin- nice paired with hibiscus tonic, I think. I still prefer rhubarb for its depth of flavour (and because it pairs well with ginger ale when I’m not in the mood for tonic!).

Summer in a glass.
Refreshingly different. Tastes very strongly of gooseberries. Like a chewy gooseberry jam, yet not sweet.
Have mine with plain tonic water and a couple of slices of fresh strawberry.
Lovely to sit in the garden in the evening with a glass or two.

Great mixed in a cocktail
Refreshing and summery. Great mixed with apple juice and tonic with a lemon wedge aka gooseberry fool.
Not a great Gin compared with something like Gunpowder.

Good for lovers of alcopop.
It has a few pleasant undertones, but has a strange aftertaste, and is really quite sweet. Reminds me of an alcopop.

Delicious! Now can I hide it from my hubby...
Love Whitley Neill rhubarb and ginger gin. Saw this and bought on a punt. Not disappointed. Going to need to stock up though, and keep hidden somewhere from hubby (foolishly introduced him to the glory of gin). The flavour from this gin is so refreshing it ought to be a hit. Hope it’s not limited edition for long as it is an absolute gem.

Different and Subtle . I will be re stocking
I like this. It is quite different. Subtle.Yes definitely subtle. Perfect accompaniment for those self isolating or shielding due to excellent delivery service. I like light floral/fruity gins so this hits the spot . Not over powering or peppery or artificial tasting.I like Hendricks Solstice and Amalfi lemon
I will be restocking
