A variation on the classic Whitley Neill Gin recipe, featuring a hearty helping of quince juice at its core. Smashing in a G&T.
Amongst a fruit-tastic salvo of citrus zest, apricot yoghurt and ripe nectarines there’s earthy juniper, a hint of leather and a touch of exotic spice.
A very sweet, quite syrupy texture reveals notes of juicy citrus, warming ginger, hints of juniper and unmistakable quince. There’s plenty of fleshy pear and peach in there too.
A note of thick-cut Seville orange marmalade lingers with a little zesty grapefruit.
One of the best flavoured-gins around - beautifully balanced and stunning with elderflower tonic and a slice of orange.
I was given this as a gift - lovely thought but much too sweet and too far away from what I think of as gin - more like a liqueur... yuk! I’ve tried with various quality tonics and slices of different citrus fruits but can’t find a combo that works for me. Give me a good old dry gin any day of the week.
Lush! Fairly sweet for a gin but definitely a gin, it delicious either with or without tonic and beats some of the other Whitley Neil variety’s that are insipid and like pop mixed with tonic, personally I would leave the blood orange or raspberry versions and go for this every time
Another one to add to my collection!! Not been disappointed with any . Yet to try the nettle one !! All lovely with fever tree tonic
Very sweet, but a very lovely change from most gins, especially if you are having a few
Was hesitant to try as i am only just starting to explore the world of gin outside supermarket shelves, but when a couple bottles of this showed up at the restaurant i work at i thought id give it a go. My new favourite! Had to order a bottle right away, absolutely perfect with an elderflower tonic. Look foward to cracking open my own bottle!
