Made to mark the 125th anniversary of Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Prince of Darkness Edition from Whitby Gin is a gothic delight. Made using a base of the classic Whitby Gin, this edition was rested in Transylvanian oak casks before being combined with cherry for a delicious, crimson twist. This'll be fab in a Negroni we reckon.
Resinous juniper at the heart of things, a cloak of warm, woody spice, and tempting, juicy cherry, with a bite of citrus.
Neat is close to a sloe gin - I make damson gin at home, which is of course excellent! - but with tonic water has a slightly fake alcopops taste, of opal fruits or the mentos that get left behind in the packet. Not a keeper.
