Wheadon's Gin is produced on Guernsey by the Wheadon family, which has a long history of Guernsey-based alcohol production and distribution. The particular expression juxtaposes the coastal awesomeness of locally-foraged rock samphire with the sweetness (and enjoyable bitterness) of pink grapefruit, alongside classic juniper spice.
Fresh grapefruit arrives first, shortly followed by oily juniper and intense cinnamon warmth. Savoury samphire gives it an earthy, coastal edge.
I first found this gin whilst in Guernsey where I bought several bottles as I was informed it was imported to the UK. I am so glad to have found it here as it has a subtle complexity of flavours which develop on the palette. A superb gin - probably the best!
Amazing gin - full flavored and at the right strength. Deep flavors and perfect with pink grapefruit or just with tonic.
