Twisting Spirits
Hugely refreshing gin from Gloucestershire's Twisting Spirits micro-distillery, combining a selection of traditional gin botanicals with an emphasis on kaffir lime and lemongrass. They use a classic copper alembic pot still to do most of the distilling, while some specialist botanicals are treated to cold-distillation under vacuum to preserve their flavours. A clear earthy influence from kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass, with some fresh fruit notes balancing it out.
Probably the one of the best gins I’ve ever had. Distinctive, fresh and very moorish.
I met the distillers and tried this gin. You can really taste the lemongrass and kaffir lime - due to it being cold distilled I am told! I purchased all 3 in the end!
This stuff is delish - I met the distillers and then explained it is hot and cold distilled. No flavourings added. Brill gin and lovely peeps!
I really love this, its well balanced, and a cut above other gins I have tried. I will buy again!
I have tried many of the new generation of artisan gins and this is definitely my favourite: so fresh and the lemongrass and kaffir lime flavours really shine through. I haven't tried it with jalapeño yet but will be doing so very soon.
