Twisted Nose Gin

Twisted Nose Gin comes from the picturesque city of Winchester in Hampshire. It is made in very small batches in traditional copper stills. The botanical selection includes juniper, grapefruit zest, cassia bark, fennel seed, orris, angelica, lavender and, most notably, locally-grown watercress. The humble watercress offers a delicate sweetness and peppery sparkle to this wonderful London Dry gin. The name comes from the word the Romans used for watercress, "Nasturtium", which means twisted nose.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Excitingly spicy with bright peppery notes, balanced by the sweet herbs.

Palate Crisp grapefruit comes through clean, adorned by the lively fennel and subtle floral hints. Bold pepper appears further on.

Finish Rather long and full, with citrus lasting until the end.

Overall An excellent craft London dry, distinctive and full of flavour.

Lively aroma, makes a great Gin and Tonic and Negroni.
Smooth and fragrant. Highly recommend this gin. One of the best I've tried.

A very special one.
I first tasted Twisted Nose Gin, that came in a Christmas hamper from Tilney Hall Hotel. I would say it was one of the most subtle and enjoyable gins I have ever tasted, and I have been drinking gin for around 50 years, in many different countries.

Watercress(y)
I like it. One review complained it's peppery - well, that's the watercress!

Unusually delicious, in a good way!
Loved loved loved this gin.... tasted really different in a good way. Not like lots of other gins out there trying too hard to be different. This is subtle, but in a good way! Definitely my current favourite!

Overrated
Nice bottle but that is what you are paying for. The contents have overpowering flavours of grapefruit and is too peppery. Not for me and declined a second glass of Twisted Nose (that never happens! 😁). Tasted far better. This gin is expensive for expensive sake. 2 stars for the bottle and no stars for the contents.

Taste the difference.
A splendidly different taste to the mass produced gins available and worth paying the extra for it.

Smooth and peppery
Lovely smooth gin with a peppery finish. Watercress taste is pretty subtle but still gives the gin something different. Would definitely recommend if you prefer a peppery savoury gin to a sweeter gin.
