Three Wrens Apple Crumble

Thanks to Three Wrens, you can now drink your dessert instead of eating it - behold, Apple Crumble Gin! Alongside juniper, this warming tipple boasts toasted oats, Cheshire apples, cinnamon and Demerara sugar among its botanical list. Pair with hot apple juice for a toasty serve, or with elderflower tonic for something lighter.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Piney and subtly peppery juniper, paired with wafts of freshly baked ginger snaps and apple turnover.

Palate Juniper still sits at the fore, supported by cooked apple sweetness and vanilla-rich helpings of oat.

Finish Softly spicy on the finish with cinnamon and peppercorn.

A delightful twist for flavoured Gin lovers
Not overly sweet but balances crisp apple tones with that toasty crumble vibe.

Well worth a buy and try as we head into autumn season.

My new favourite flavour!
Having recently been to visit the distillery, this is right up there as one of my favourite gins. I wasn’t sure at first, thinking that “crumble” flavours wouldn’t work in a gin, but I stand well and truly corrected! The smell is divine, but when mixed with elderflower tonic, this is one of the most delicious drinks that I have had. First bottle consumed within a week, will definitely be ordering more.

Definitely worth a try, nothing like it.
Beautiful and unique bottle of gin. Extremely smooth and rich in apple crumble loveliness. The Apple and the toasted oats both come through beautifully in the smell and taste of the gin.

When served with elderflower tonic and a slice of apple, it’s particularly easy to drink. My absolute favourite from the Three Wrens Gin collection.

Unique and beautiful gin
Rich and full of flavour, fabulous gin! Loved sipping on its own and was great with finer beer and lime too!

Very disappointing
Upon opening the bottle all I could smell was a faint whiff of very very weak gin. Apples? Only just. Crumble? Nope. Cinnamon? A faint inkling or possibly could be there. So far, no good.

Tasted a sip by itself in a glass itself. Very sweet. Apples? (See above) etc etc. A slight taste of gin. Not sure if I was actually drinking as it sure didn’t match the above tasting notes.

Adding Fever Tree Elderflower tonic killed any ideas that I was drinking Apple Crumble flavoured gin as all I could taste was the tonic AMS I had only put a splash of tonic in.

Would I buy it again. Sadly no as it wasn’t worthy of an £18 price tag nevermind the £37.50 plus delivery that I paid.
