The Teasmith
Douglas Laing is adored in the whisky world for its top-notch range and impressive indie bottlings, and now a Scottish gin joins its portfolio. Produced at Laing's Strathearn distillery, this is a gin for the tea lovers out there, thanks to an unusual botanical - Sri Lankan tea leaves! The gin is copper pot distilled in two stages. First, the tea leaves are steeped in warm alcohol and distilled, followed by a second distillation with a host of botanicals including juniper, liquorice, orange peel, coriander, angelica, and grains of paradise. The result is a refined gin with gentle layers of vanilla sweetness, zesty citrus, and aromatic botanicals that'll elevate G&Ts and gin cocktails alike.
Delicate waves of sweet dried vanilla, dried orange peels, aromatic spices, oily juniper, and rootsy botanicals.
