Colonel Fox's London Dry Gin
This is a very interesting London Dry Gin which is made to a recipe discovered by a Lieutenant Colonel Fox in 1859. The Colonel was a celebrated war hero, and today his name lives on in the form of this fabulous gin, flavoured with juniper, coriander, angelica, cassia, liquorice and bitter orange peel.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rich, crisp nose of juniper and mixed herbs. A little tropical fruit, aniseed and banana (oddly!).
Palate
Tangy, earthy palate entry with oily juniper, allspice and star anise. A touch of ginger.
Finish
Herbal finish with angelica and citrus.
Overall
A very unusual little gin!
