Well, would you look who's entered the world of gin - it's the folks behind Australia's award-winning Sullivans Cove whisky, the Tasmania Distillery! Their Hobart No. 4 Gin is made with a base of barley, which is double distilled and combined with some native Australian botanicals, including lanceolata, lemon myrtle, anise myrtle and wattleseed.
Peppery juniper, sweet citrus, a hint of spicy cardamom and anise.

We bought this gin in Tasmania just to try. Sorry we waited until back home to try it, as we would have bought several more bottles. It is one of the best ever. Neat or with tonic the best. When are you going to get it back as I can't find it anywhere in the states. We only use it for special occasions now.
Superb sipping gin with subtle native flavors. Works well neat. Almost a liquor smoothness. Bought two bottles direct at the distillery, which surprised me since I'd only intended to buy the American Cask whisky.
This is one of the very best Gins I have ever tasted and can't wait to order a case or 2, because getting hold of their Sullivans Cove French Oak is not an easy feat to find.
