Southwestern Distillery's excellent Tarquin's Gin bottled at 57% abv! Orris root, green cardamom seeds, cinnamon and violets are all used and the gin is distilled in Tamara, their copper pot still named after the goddess of the Tamar.
Spicy juniper and cardamom with sweet, fragrant citrus and pine, sweet almond.
Fragrant and fresh, rounded notes from the nose, black pepper warmth.
Big, spicy and drying.

We've tried so many gins but this is my all time favourite, great taste as you'd expect from one of Cornwall's finest gin distillers.
Firstly, I am not a gin connoisseur but have tasted a few in my time. This gin, for me, has loads of character; yes it is heavy duty and not one to be swigged by the pint, not cheap and might not be to everyone's liking, but I love it and I think the fact it turns cloudy once tonic is added is a plus rather than a negative. Get a bottle and enjoy!

Of all the many navy strength this plus various ordinary and flavoured this was the worst,the addition of tonic made it go cloudy and taste even foUler.
