
Fantastic Irish gin from the Shortcross folks, which has enjoyed a slumber in casks to help develop its flavour profile. For this expression, the distillers have sourced wine casks from Chateau Cantemerle in Bordeaux, France, in which the gin rests before being bottled at 43% ABV.
Earthy vanilla, blueberry, orange peel, spicy juniper slowly building on the palate, a touch of grassy clover.

Picked up a bottle after trying this at Berts Jazz Bar in Belfast while on vacation over Christmas '18. Thoroughly enjoyed the Cask-Aged Old Fashioned with homemade Cherry Brandy & Bitters, and can wait to recreate in NYC when I get home!
