A gin from the wonderful Seven Three Distilling in New Orleans! It's dubbed Gentilly Gin, named after the group of neighbourhoods in the city. Its 17 botanical list was inspired by old faith healers known as a traiteur, with botanicals such as elderflower and persimmon that you may have found in a Cajun medicine bag. If you're feeling fancy, definitely give this a go in a Gimlet.
Elderflower wafts and subtle anise, wrapped up in waves of vanilla.
Honeyed persimmon, stem ginger, crisp juniper and another touch of anise.
Warm peppery notes and juniper remain for a softly spicy finish.
I am so glad this is finally available in the UK! I visited NOLA a few years ago but wasn't able to visit the distillery to pick up a bottle before the flight home. The spice in this gin is perfect - thank you for stocking!!!
