A full-bodied gin named after the Peaky Blinders, a street gang from the late 19th/early 20th Century (a popular TV show was based on the gang recently, with the chap from that not-zombie movie playing the starring role). A particularly punchy expression.
Yes, pun intended.
Ripe orange, oak-y cassia and perhaps even a hint of coffee bean.
Ginger and black pepper make for a spicy opening, though well balanced by ample helpings of fresh citrus.
Oily juniper and a hint of eucalyptus.
One of best gins I’ve ever tasted. My brother bought me a bottle for my Birthday I necked the lot and had to buy myself another bottle as it was so good. I then got him a bottle for his Birthday and he loved it and am now purchasing a bottle for a friend for her Birthday. I am definitely spreading the peaky blinders gin love, I should be on commission or get a free bottle as I have run out!!!
Quite simply my favourite gin, and I have tried a few.
A great tipple
I tried this recently mixed with a plain tonic and a slice of lemon - it was delicious! I would put the finish to a sensation similar to drinking ginger ale, a very pleasant sensation. Am now curious to whether adding ginger ale (yes I'm a fan, even added it to rhubarb and ginger for extra zing) would further enhance the finish... will definitely be finding out.
Had one in Peaky Blinders bar Liverpool. Excellent service and excellent presentation and price! One of best gins I have had!
