Roku Gin Bottling Note

An excellent gin from Japan's legendary Suntory - Roku Gin. This expression is made using a selection of botanicals, including six Japanese botanicals that provide a whistle-stop tour of the four seasons. These include sakura leaf and sakura flower for spring, sencha tea and gyokuro tea for summer, sansho pepper for autumn and yuzu peel for winter. Traditional gin botanicals also featured include the likes of juniper, orange peel, lemon peel, coriander and cinnamon, among others.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Earthy and vegetal, with a light whisper of fruity sweetness hiding underneath. Peppery notes develop on the finish.

Oh alright… just one more
Oh my days - this gin is bloody gorgeous. Many other gins can leave a lingering headache but not Roku. No improvement required. Just enjoy the gin, ice and a slice with tonic. Heaven in a glass

Japanese flavor at its best
I love the delicate citrus notes in the Gin, perfect to mix with a Yuzu tonic.

Lovely aroma.
It smelt so good when I opened the bottle, I wanted to swig it there and then. Dry, followed by some sweet, peppery, lots of delicate flavours and aromas. Enjoy neat to fully appreciate the more delicate flavours but still holds it’s own with mixers or in a cocktail.

This has a refreshing flavor!
I don't have a lot of experience with gin, and this is the 4th I've tried, and it's my favorite so far. My previous ones were Beefeater, Bombay Sapphire, and Aviation.

It's got a very vibrant taste to me. I don't have the developed palate to describe what it tastes like, but I enjoy it, and it'll be my go-to gin, especially at this price point.

I got a bottle delivered through the gopuff app and it was only $12 for a 750ml bottle. There were delivery fees, of course, but even with that it is cheaper than the others I've tried.

I made duplicate martinis, one with Beefeaters, and one with Roku. It isn't even close, really. I did drink them both simultaneously, so I'm feeling pretty good right now!

The Roku martini has a lot of flavor, and is very easy to drink.

Very nice
Clean & very pleasant fragrance, only needs a few ice cubes & a rind of citrus, anything more may overpower its subtle taste
