Origin - Apecchio, Italy
A single-botanical gin from the Origin range, made with juniper grown in Apecchio, Italy. These gins highlight the impact that the terroir (or origin) of juniper berries can have on the flavour profile of a gin. Fascinating stuff for gin fans.
Every bottle of Origin comes with a 10ml vial of cold-distilled additional botanicals which (if desired) can be added to the bottle to transform the spirit into a more traditionally-styled gin.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fragrant yellow plum and tropical fruit. Cut grass and spicy cedar in support.
Palate
Cinnamon and menthol up front. Yellow plum again, leading into glazed currant buns.
Finish
Fruity IPA hops, a lingering warmth of cardamom and oily juniper.
