A small batch gin from Nelson's Distillery & Gin School in Grindley near the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border made with a range of botanicals from around the globe including lemongrass and makrut lime leaves from Thailand, vanilla from Madagascar and cinnamon from Sri Lanka.
Complex citrus notes abound with white peach, juniper and cinnamon developing.
After a hard days work this was the perfect antidote, it's smooth taste and citrus notes took me off to the med. A full flavoured Gin, just as fine neat as with tonic - particularly good over ice and with a slice, preferably lime.
This gin has landed straight in to the upper market of exquisite gins in my opinion! Out of 25 international gins I've tried so far, this came out as #1 for me. So pleasing that it's local too.
