An interesting new flavour from Mother's Ruin using rose geranium and fennel seed, this time at 40% rather than as a liqueur. The bottle puts us in mind of traditional genever bottles (genever being a juniper spirit with an even longer history than gin), while the 'mother's ruin' name is also a call back to the spirit's history.
The creators of this gin recommend serving with a plain tonic (as in, not one of those newfangled specifically flavoured ones), with a pink grapefruit peel garnish. Sounds ideal.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Floral and herbal as you'd expect, with rose and citrus notes, as well as aromatic cumin and liquorice depth from the fennel seeds.
