Reviews for McQueen Sweet Citrus Gin
Comparable to No.3
Quite an outstanding Gin, going by a past review has McQueen tweeked the botanicals or changed it's water or distillation process since then? I've come to enjoy this over and over the past 9 months and would have it compared to the nicely citrussed No.3 by the Berry Brothers although there are hints of Vanilla in this Gin which makes the Citrus notes taste a little more bloated but for me that's a really thing with this flavour profile. It's one of the very best at under 13 pounds cash.

Nothing special, there are better gins out there
Its ok, but will not be a repeat purchase. I found it burnt rather than warm when neat but it definitely improved with elderflower tonic. However if I am having to lift a gin with tonic water there are cheaper alternatives to lift to get similar results.

Change?
Not sure what’s happened but the quality of the McQueen range seems to have gone downhill lately. Has there been any changes? New still? New distiller? Something just isn’t quite right in my opinion which is a real shame.

Will definitely buy again.
Delicate flavours that really benefit from using the fever tree elderflower tonic that is recommended as the mixer to use. Refreshing, summer in a glass.
