Marsala Cask Aged Gin 19 Month Old 2017 (Master of Malt)
Cask-aged gin is an underrated gem, whether you're sipping neat or mixing cocktails, it offers a wealth of depth and character to explore. Of course, the character of the gin will depend on the type of cask it's aged in, and we've been experimenting with a few different varieties for our exclusive Master of Malt collection. This one spent 19 months resting in a tiny octave cask that previously held marsala fortified wine! A release of 53 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Pine forest, dried juniper berries, and clove lead to raisins, almond cakes, a touch of honey, and butter biscuits.
Palate
Oak and juniper shine, with toasty, buttery char, peppercorns, and oily, resinous pine, while a touch of anise and dried herbs gather beneath. There are sweet notes of candied plums and honeyed nuts.
Finish
Trickles of delicate toffee vibrant, oily botanicals, and herbaceous spice, with softly sweet fruits beneath.
