A rather traditional Polish gin, Lubuski has been distilled using the same recipe for three decades! All the usual suspects can be found in the list of botanicals, with juniper berries (of course), citrus peel and spices. Interestingly, the botanicals are sourced from Lubusz Land, an ecologically protected area of Poland. One to keep it simple in a G&T with a slice of lime.
Oily, piney juniper leads this gin, with zesty citrus peels and building cinnamon spice throughout.
Far away to be a gin!
The real junipers are just a mirage.
Normally gin is my least liked liquor, but this is actually nice. Maybe because it’s closer to the original genever?
Best gin , would buy by case.
This is the reason most Polish people are turned away from drinking gin. Strong juniper flavour that however isn't quite enough to overshadow the one of alcohol. It's like somebody called a vodka destilery and tried to explain over the phone what gin is and they were in a hurry. The only redeeming qualities are price and availability.
