The Lost Parcels series rescues small helpings of great spirits from being left behind and forgotten about in the dark recesses of warehouses and the like, instead letting them get their time in the sun and make their way to your glass. This particular expression is a gin that has spent 15 months maturing in casks that previously held Trinidadian rum – can't say we've seen many gins drawn from rum casks, but we certainly are intrigued to see the impact they have on the spirit's flavour profile!
Lemon and lime ice lollies, piney juniper, a few leafy wafts fluttering through.
Still citrus-forward, now with a touch of mango mixed in. Liquorice root, vanilla pod. Juniper continues providing a solid backbone to the spirit.
Cardamom, cassia, and the final bittersweet hints of orange oil.
Not a common combo, but rum and gin elements combine here fabulously.
