This here is a gin that was treated to a 19-month stay in a marsala fortified wine cask. A top find for fans of spirit-forward cocktails, but don't hang about, there are only 38 bottles!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Oily juniper and pine take the lead, with woody spices opening the way for subtle raisins, honeyed almonds, and buttery shortbread.
Palate
Rich oak char and butterscotch combine superbly with resinous juniper and pine, while dried herbs and liquorice are balanced by softly sweet notes of poached stone fruit and candied nuts.
Finish
Vibrant juniper and herbaceous botanicals linger alongside soft spice and delicate notes of runny caramel.
