This impressive cask-aged gin was saved from the clutches of time by the folks at Lost Parcels. It spent 19 months resting in a cask that previously held Madeira making for an intriguing and enjoyable sipper that will elevate cocktails to new levels. A release of 39 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Bold, sweet dates and resinous juniper are joined by barky cinnamon, orange oil, oaken vanilla, and burnt brown sugar.
Palate
Sweet, warming spices cushion oily juniper and anise, with a touch of rooibos tea nestling beneath.
Finish
Toasty notes of vanilla and woody botanicals, peppermint, and a dusting of cocoa, with softly sweet baking spices.
